A Little catching up to do.....

So, no clue why these pictures posted this way so try to follow along. So alot has been happening amidst the craziness of finding a place to move to and packing and ugh.....

Today was crazy hair day at school and boy did we go CRAZY. Cayden has been in desperate need of a haircut and he keeps saying "please wait until after crazy hair day" so finally it arrived. I took him over to our cousins house, James and Leisal (she does hair) and we bleached his hair. Well kind of, we didn't let it process all the way cuz our plan was to then put purple and orange Kool-Aid on it (phoenix suns colors, of course). Well the Kool-Aid didn't work, don't know why so we ended up with some blondish gold hair, which in the end was great, it was CRAZY hair day after all. I know what you are thinking, "you colored your 10 year olds hair?" Well, I am going to be cutting it all off VERY soon, so I figured what the heck.
Now, Ally's hair was fun too. No color for her since I am not buzzing it all off, so we got creative. Leisal was helping me pack and said "keep out those pipe cleaners for Ally's hair on CRAZY hair day". So I separated her hair in sections and either braided or twisted the pipe cleaner in with the section and then bent it all crazy directions. She looked pretty cool, like she belongs on a Dr. Seuss movie or something.
So Grady sat patiently and quietly as I am getting the kids ready this morning and after they left he tells me he wants crazy hair too. I decide to make him a hat with the pipe cleaners and he thought that was great. Then he says "take my picture too" so cute. (picture above)

We also had Caydens birthday on March 8! He turned the big 10. Can't believe he has hit the double digits, holy cow!!! He is such a great kid, he is so smart and LOVES to learn. He is a GREAT big brother and we are so grateful to have him as part of our family. This year with all the craziness going on I decided a birthday party somewhere else besides my house was just what the doctor ordered. So we went bowling. He invited some friends and they had a great time. Of course it was a competition of the two teams cuz isn't that what boys do? Happy Birthday buddy, we love you!!! I love that because the boys were making funny faces Grady just joined right in, such a funny kid, he loves to copy everything his older brother does.

Crazy Few Weeks.....

We have had a crazy, stressful, emotional, tiring, spritual and uplifting couple of weeks. My dear mother in law passed away Tues. the 23rd. We got word there was some complications and she wasn't doing very well and were able to head to Az and spend about 3 days with her before she passed and we will never forget that time we had. It was so wonderful to have our time to say good bye and to see the outpouring of love from people whom she touched in her life. She was so amazing and really blessed many people in her short life. Her services and all the help and support we had in getting things ready for her was witness to that. I hope that when my time comes I will have been able to accomplish as much and touch as many lives as she did. She raised 4 amazing children and they all really pulled together to get things done and be support for eachother. What a special family I am blessed enough to be part of. I love them all SO much and am so grateful for the examples they are in my life.

During all of this with Kristi, we also sold our house which came as a shock since we had forgotten it was even for sale, ha ha! Our listing was about to expire and we had had only 1 person look at it in the last 6 months, well in one week we had about 4 differentn people look at it. Then there was one family that came back and looked at it 4 times, I was going crazy. They made an offer, we countered, they accepted and before we knew it we were in escrow. Then everything with Kristi took place and we had no time or desire to think about the house. That didn't stop things from moving right along though, we finally got home and are getting back in to somewhat of a routine and we have less than 20 DAYS until we close and have to be out of our house. This has been a hard thing for us because we are finally able to sell our house and we dont want to move, we have been here almost 4 years and the kids have alot of friends in the neightboorhood and the school is right down the street and our ward is AMAZING. So why are we doing this you make ask, and we have asked ourselves many times. THe truth is we don't really have a good answer or good reason other than we have tried to sell before when we REALLY needed to and did not have any luck, we are in a different positiion now but things can change so quickly that you never know. I have really felt at peace, as hard as it is and sad, that if this is God's plan for us that things would just sort of fall into place and work out, if not than we were ok with that too. For as much as we having been dealing with lately this process couldn't have gone smoother, we have had no issues, no snags, just smooth sailing. I can't deny the feeling that its the right thing for us, dont know why and we don't even know where we are moving too yet but I just have to trust in God and his will and plan for us. He has never let us down, things haven't always worked out how we hoped but somehow better in the long run. Oh, wish us luck as we figure out where we are moving to in the next 3 weeks.

My Dearest Mother in Law

For anyone who may not know my dearest mother in law has been battling lung cancer for a few months now, and she has AMAZED all of us with her positive outlook and demeanor. She will never only see the "bad" news, there is always something "good" about the things that are happening to her on this long and bumpy road. I aspire to be as faithful and optimistic as her in my life. She gives the family strength when right now she is the one who should be allowed to be weak and pull on everyone elses strengths. The doctors have been amazed at all that she has gone through and that she has remained so faithful and hopeful and happy! I have her on my mind and dear in my heart right now and felt like putting it into words how I feel about her right now. I LOVE you Kritsit and the kids pray for you EVERY night and I know that that feel better when they do. Prayers for Kristi to have some comfort from pain right now from anyone who knows or doesn't know her would be the BEST medicine for her right now.
